Fueled by Leo, Inc. was born from a deep passion for nutrition, a desire to empower others, and a vision to ignite lasting change—especially in underserved communities. Founded by Leonila Campos, a registered dietitian with a heart for education and advocacy, our mission is to make evidence-based nutrition accessible to all while preserving the cultural foods that connect us to our roots.

 

Leonila’s passion for nutrition started early, inspired by her own experiences navigating health, family, and culture. As a Latina dietitian, she saw firsthand how misinformation, lack of access to nutrition services, and societal pressures led many to believe they had to abandon their cultural foods in order to be healthy. She knew this wasn’t true and set out to change the narrative.

 

At Fueled by Leo, Inc., we embrace the idea that cultural foods are not the enemy—misinformation is. From tamales and tortillas to arroz and frijoles, traditional foods can and should be part of a nourishing, balanced lifestyle. Through education and practical strategies, we help individuals and families integrate their favorite cultural dishes into their wellness journey without guilt or restriction.

 

What started as one-on-one nutrition counseling quickly evolved into something bigger. Fueled by Leo, Inc. became a platform for empowering individuals, workplaces, and communities through nutrition programs, corporate wellness initiatives, and culturally inclusive health education. From working with underserved populations to collaborating with healthcare providers and schools, our impact is driven by a commitment to equity and inclusion in nutrition.
